For The Good of The Kingdom...

In which Arielle posts her shortest blogpost yet! What has she been up to in the past two weeks? Lots of things really...but with very little to visually represent the progress.

So, the long and short of it is...I don't have much I can truly show for the past two weeks...But not for lack of actually doing things. Last week, I tried to start on the newest game project, Tank, but felt fairly uninspired to do so. I'm rather stuck on how to...bend the look of the game to match my general aesthetics. I'm slowly working through it, but still needs some brainstorming.

Instead, I focused on some of the other smaller projects I've wanted to work on. I knew I needed to make a video using OBS to show I had learned the program, so I thought that by the end of two weeks...I'll have a let's play done! That hope quickly turned into...disappointment, as the first week was spent just learning OBS and... Well, unfortunately, there were technical issues. For a let's play, I knew I would need the game audio and my voice audio on separate audio tracks, but for whatever reason, OBS didn't want to separate any of the tracks in the output save. I then went on a long journey with my Mentor Grayson to figure out what was doing this. We decided that maybe it was the editing software I was using along with a couple incorrect settings. I fixed the settings, literally looking everywhere on the internet for some way to make the audio tracks separate...but in the end...the output was even worse...and didn't record the audio at all! That was my first week.

Of course I had a friend come over the weekend, and he helped me figure out what was wrong in all of three minutes...which.... made me mentally enraged...but I thanked him and figured I'd start the next week. But this is around the time I also realized I wanted to participate in Inktober for as much as I could...Drawing with a mouse is very difficult though...so I haven't gotten too many drawings done. I did manage to record me playing the game...but without enough time to edit anything... I don't have the video ready yet.

So, I may not have much to show for at the end of two weeks...but stuff will pick up again next week...and hopefully I should have some Art and a cool video to share for next peer review!
