My First Inktober

In which Arielle plays a bit of catch up for a yearly event she has always meant to do. This event is Inktober!

For those of you who have never heard of Inktober, let me give you a small introduction. It is an artistic challenge first created by an artist known as Jake Parker in 2009, to help facilitate positive drawing habits as well as to increase and hone skill. Now many artists all over the world take part in this challenge every October. The rules are simple: Throughout all of October (all 31 days), you do an Inked Drawing for each day, following predetermined single word prompts and post them publicly for critique. I have been wanting to do this challenge for...well...I'm sure at least a decade...so I figured this year was the year!

The only problem is that I'm a little late to the party...what with it being...not the first of October, but this is ok, so long as a drawing representing each day is completed. So I've got at least 4 drawings to hopefully accomplish today! It doesn't all have to get done today...I suppose...but it sure would be nice to be all caught up! I'll be editing this post throughout the day, updating with new images...I'll have to decide if I want to do my inking with actual ink or via "digital Ink" which may be the way to go for today...as I'm not 100% on where all my physical supplies are located in my home currently (doing a major cleaning overhaul on top of it all). Not sure if Inktober only extends to physical media...but...I'm sure it's fine.
