"I'm a Blackstar."

In which Arielle feels burnt out and uninspired. August was always going to be a difficult month to bare without Bowie, especially on the 24th which was his birthday. There is also plenty of frustration, mostly directed inward. Arielle strives to find a way to be a part of the Fight Club in a way that's intriguing to her.

In the beginning of the month, I was whisked away to visit my most beloved Abuelitos, which was a nice visit overall...but in hindsight, maybe should have held off...Since I had been looking forward to the next Fight Club. Even the theme seemed to lead me to an obvious conclusion of what I kind of wanted to work on. However, I'm pretty sure I missed the boat on finding a partner...and I'm not confident in my coding skills. I suppose we shall see what happens.

At any rate...I came back at the start of this week...but I feel fairly uninspired. Music hasn't even really helped at all either...save for "Blackstar" (which was the song I was listening to when I first laid eyes on Bowie, and later the inspo for his middle name). Much of what I've been working on this week...whatever it is...has some sort of root in the song. Mostly space art...I guess concepts for Fight Club submission...to potentially reel in a partner...I suppose.

Friend Camilo has been working on an animation, which made me realize...most of the programs I used to use to animate are now either defunct, or too expensive to get my hands on. He suggested the program he was using Clip Studio, so I started fiddling with it as I attempt to tease some sort of project out of my uninspired self. I've found some neat tools...but I feel I'm barely scratching the surface of what the program has to offer.

Here are some reference images I'd been using/vibing off:

Here is some of the stuff I've been doodling, some are still WIP but yeah...

The only non-space related image I doodled this week. I don't know why I made the eye have a horse/goat pupil, and I don't know why I drew it at this angle. Eye color is modelled loosely off my own.

I don't know what the next step is...as I'm still kinda lost and uninspired....but if people want a space artist....I've been known to do a decent job in that arena.
