In which Arielle has started Zepbound; Decided that they weren't confident enough in coding to enter the Game Gen Fight Club this time around; Decided it's likely time to resume the tutorial lessons; Woke up super late and is now typing like Sonic runs to get this done....
Well, like the proverbial white rabbit.... I'm late.... when getting to this...so...Dragnet...let's go!~
Last week I showed the beginning of a plant I was working on for the Game Jam project Blue Hair. This week I started by working on the final part of that plant, the bromeliad like glowing flower which would provide additional needed light to the environment. Originally I was going to make a number of different ones that were flat....but decided that...similarly to the leaves....the people who were working on modeling the plants would probably like it if I made it more capable of being constructed similarly to the fern part of the plant, so I set to making the inner workings of the flower and a flattened version of the petals so they could wrap it around the cali lily like stamens.
These are some images I was working on before figuring out the right way to complete the plant. They ended up providing something to explain how the plant worked and looked like.
These are the images of me figuring out the inner workings of the budded plant as well as some notes given to those working on the plants and both the proto-look and final look of the flattened petal:
With that.... I am finished with my submission of art to Blue Hair, unless they need something tweeked with the plant, etc. I'm available for reworks and the like! However, I don't know how much more I can do for the project, due to the fact I should probably resume the tutorial lessons....as I'm falling behind and new students are lapping me, lol.
So with the rest of the time I had this week....I set to doing the one thing I've been promising for ages now.
Juan....yeah...it's time....
I wish I had gotten farther along....and I wish I had time to explain in words written here all the things. but I'm already cutting into presentation time...so I'll explain it all eventually....
Here is the creature Juan asked I do fanart of:

This is the start of my process....I will continue to do this next two week period, and maybe some other creature designs....but I will also likely restart work on Tank and hopefully move on to some of the other tutorial projects.
